外教比中教有着十个不可替代的作用

英语作为一种全球性的语言,在国际交往中的地位举世公认,我国非常重视英语教育,从小学开始就把英语作为一门主课,一直到高考,英语都是最重要的一门科目,不管文科理科的学生,都不能忽视英语对自己人生的影响。甚至参加工作后,评职晋级也少不了对英语的要求。因此,英语在中国的地位举足轻重,无以复加。

自2000年前后,随着中国加入WTO,与世界的经济交往日渐加深,我国一些有实力的中小学开始尝试引进外教参与英语课堂教学。此后十几年来,越来越多的中小学、培训机构甚至幼儿园参与到引进外教开展英语教学的洪流之中,一支浩浩荡荡的外教大军开始活跃在中国各地的讲堂上,给中国的英语教学带来了新的生机和活力,让原本枯燥乏味的英语课堂掀起了一阵革命性的旋风。

外教的加入,对于改进和优化我国中小学英语课堂长期以来形成的翻译教学法,以教师讲解为主的教学模式带来不小的冲击,外教的兴趣教学法、游戏教学法、场景式教学法等给英语课堂带来了新的生命力。细细梳理,外教至少在以下十个方面有着中教不可替代的作用:

1,学习兴趣:外教在长相上与中国人差异比较明显,显著的个性特征与英语挂上钩,首先在视觉上提供了学生对英语学习的兴趣和好奇心。颜值也是一种资本。

2,教学方式:外教多采用以学生为中心的教学方式,跟学生平等相处,没有我们传统的“师道尊严”形象,有利于获得学生的认可。一些外教为追求与学生平等交流,在跟学生对话时蹲下身子甚至跪下身子,以求眼睛能够平视学生的眼睛,这给中国的学生和老师以极大的视觉冲击。

4,肢体语言:外教在教学时虽然不怎么会使用中文,一般善于运用肢体动作和夸张的表情,给学生一种身临其境的意境,让学生能够聚焦在他们身上而不走神,而且西方特有的幽默让课堂充满欢声笑语。

5,实用英语:很多人学了十几年英语从来没有见过外国人,更不用说使用英语交流。外教的到来让学生切身的感受到英语是一门实用的语言,并不仅仅是考试的分数和书本上的符号,因此能够让更多学生努力开口说英语,主动开口说英语。

6,英语文化:外教作为国际交往的使者,通常把本国的文化一并带过来,让学生能够亲身体验以前只有在书本中或影视中才可以一窥点滴的英语节日,从而更深的理解英语。

7,全英文环境:外教无形中为学生创造了一个全英文的学习和交流环境,这跟以前英语教师“满堂灌”的时候完全不同,以前中国教师上课,虽然下课还要拖堂,但一节课说不来几句英语,就是一些单词还是用中文来解释的。现在外教不会说中文,学生接触的语言信息量就大不一样了,刺激学生的语言细胞,让学生能够更快的学习英语。

8,激励学生:外教的自身学习和生活经历为学生认识世界打开了一扇窗户,激发了一些学生了解世界,走向世界的雄心,从现在开始立下志向,从而带动学生的整体学习成绩。小孩子的世界往往因为一点一滴的事情就能影响一生,外教给学生的激励作用之大是怎么估量都不会过的。

9,促进中教提升水平:外教给学校的英语教师带来了新的思想和理念,有效的促进了英语课堂教学效果的整体优化和提升。
